The sustainable home of the future, made by nature, for nature

Building More Than Homes
GrindHeim was never intended to be just another housing project.
We are developing a new way of creating homes, communities, and local production systems that are healthier for people, more resilient for society, and better for the planet.
At Ã…sen, Site 4016, we are now preparing for the next phase of development. Building Stage 2 marks the transition from concept and prototype into a scalable model that can be replicated across Norway and beyond.
Our ambition is simple:
To make regenerative housing accessible, beautiful, and locally produced.
Why GrindHeim?
The construction industry faces unprecedented challenges:
-
Rising material costs
-
Increasing energy demands
-
Housing shortages
-
Carbon emissions from traditional building methods
-
Growing demand for healthier living environments
Â
GrindHeim addresses these challenges through a combination of Nordic building traditions, natural materials, modern design, and local manufacturing.
Our homes are designed using renewable materials such as timber and hemp-lime composites, creating durable, breathable, low-impact buildings that store carbon rather than emit it.
But the house is only part of the story.
From House to Ecosystem
GrindHeim introduces a new model for living.
Through our GrindTun concept, private homes are connected through shared infrastructure, productive landscapes, social spaces, and regenerative systems.
Residents enjoy the privacy of their own home while benefiting from the strength of a thriving community.
We believe future neighbourhoods must balance independence with belonging, technology with nature, and efficiency with quality of life.
Factory in a Box
To unlock scalability, we are developing Factory in a Box (FIB):
A mobile manufacturing system that moves production closer to the construction site.
Instead of transporting large volumes of finished materials across long distances, we bring production to where homes are needed.
The result is:
-
Reduced transport emissions
-
Lower logistics costs
-
Faster project execution
-
Local job creation
-
Increased resilience in regional supply chains
Â
Factory in a Box has the potential to transform how natural building materials are produced and deployed in remote and regional markets.
Why We Are Raising Partners
The next phase requires more than capital.
We are seeking partners who share our vision and can contribute expertise, networks, resources, and strategic insight.
We welcome dialogue with:
-
Impact investors
-
Construction and manufacturing partners
-
Landowners and developers
-
Sustainability funds
-
Technology providers
-
Research institutions
-
Public innovation programs
Â
Together we can demonstrate that regenerative housing is not a niche concept, but a viable pathway toward the future built environment.
Building Stage 2 – Åsen, Site 4016
Building Stage 2 will further validate the GrindHeim model through:
-
Expanded prototype development
-
Advanced hemp-lime construction systems
-
Factory in a Box demonstration
-
Testing of production workflows
-
Documentation and certification pathways
-
Development of future GrindTun communities
Â
This is where vision becomes proof.
